Sister Rasela of The Swayingday Saints\u00a0here in the belly kitchen today to\u00a0cook up\u00a0a blisteringly hot\u00a0show\u00a0for you live from the very heart\u00a0<\/span>of town.\u00a0We’re about to send out\u00a0sensationally amorous aromas\u00a0to YOU and\u00a0that\u00a0belly of yours.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bayfm fires are heavily stoked and brazenly blazing enough to send\u00a0out\u00a0marshmallow puffs of pure white love and hot pink happiness across the Shires airwaves to YOU.\u00a0It’s less about where<\/em> and more about there<\/em> so that we can all share a similar experience at the same time from\u00a0many different places.\u00a0I’m so grateful for the gift of community radio and those magical airwaves that help spread the lurrrrve.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The fabulous Sister Michael and I had a belly chat over a cuppa at the\u00a0TWILIGHT MARKETS\u00a0on a sun setting Saturday afternoon\u00a0recently and\u00a0talked about tummy rumbling ways to keep bringing tasty and inspiring radio to the airwaves with the rest of the family. We\u00a0could well\u00a0end up\u00a0attempting to eat our way around the Shire recording our\u00a0outings and stuffings\u00a0where required with anyone willing to share the same same but different<\/em> experience with us. Trouble is it’s hard to record things when your mouth’s full! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So\u00a0we’ll need a bit of help.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Personally I LOVE hearing\u00a0YOUR voices on air and that\u2019s why I\u2019ve been getting out and about more with my trusty recorder chatting\u00a0with mind-blowingly\u00a0fascinating members\u00a0of our ridiculously wonderful\u00a0community. It\u2019s such an honour to be able to hear your stories and record moments\u00a0in time that will never be again.\u00a0Please don’t stop talking to me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If only it were that<\/em>\u00a0easy …\u00a0but I’m glad it’s not for in the editing process I get to blissfully\u00a0relive and recreate\u00a0the moments\u00a0from back then, in present time,\u00a0and bring them\u00a0into\u00a0the\u00a0right here, right now,\u00a0to tell a tale from the past\u00a0that is heading into the future haha I think I need to meditate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Actually it\u2019s not that<\/em> hard\u00a0thanks to\u00a0the stories I gather as I engage with the beautiful souls\u00a0willing to share their descriptions of emotions, raw and alive. It’s an honour truly to\u00a0be in a position to capture such constant inspiration and information.\u00a0Usually these times of emotional capturing\u00a0are accompanied by\u00a0offers of\u00a0food, hugs, poetry recitals, music,\u00a0a cheering up, a calming down, an education,\u00a0a good old\u00a0giggle,\u00a0a bite of this, a slurp of that,\u00a0a realisation, a\u00a0love generation … and\u00a0EVERYONE beams the most beautiful smiles into\u00a0my microphone.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The gentleness and the generosity in the Shire makes it\u00a0easy for me to follow my dreams and\u00a0do only what I love. One of those things is to capture heartfelt moments that will never come again but will go on living forever\u00a0as sound.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m always proud to represent BayFM and I\u2019m forever blown away by how many opportunities come\u00a0our way. There are so many great people involved and connected to the station and here it stands in the heart of town like our family home. We are all brothers and sisters here, we take the good with the bad because at the end of the day we share\u00a0the same\u00a0passion and\u00a0we’re doing something we collectively\u00a0LOVE. <\/span><\/span>It’s a powerful thing … it’s magnetic!!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All those original, diverse, entertaining, ever-engaging,\u00a0often\u00a0changing, never plain sailing, not\u00a0always unfailing, hugely adorable,\u00a0occasionally snoreable, quirky,\u00a0unique, feathered and freaked beings in one place connected to the same thing. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Together we present the\u00a0REAL\u00a0that’s left in the world and we’re spreading it like coconut oil\u00a0right across\u00a0the airwaves for\u00a0YOU \u2026 for the\u00a0pure LOVE of it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We have Byron’s own \u2018Lord of the Chillies\u2019<\/strong> Lord Stephen Probert coming on to talk about some pretty hot stuff. When\u00a0I get a\u00a0’roundtoit’ I will edit the harmoniously heated discussion about one of my favourite things in the world …. CHILLI !! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s my favourite by far for all of it’s flavoursome fire – Chocolate Habanero.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I originally came across\u00a0Steve and his blazing stall at THE TWIGHLIGHT MARKETS in Railway Park Byron where Sister Michael and I\u00a0found ourselves strolling\u00a0on the aforementioned\u00a0afternoon. We were l<\/span>ooking for fanciful delights to enliven the senses and skid marked up to the counter forthwith\u00a0upon site of the sauces.\u00a0Steve was dishing out tasters with names\u00a0like “Steve’s\u00a0Toughy Pants Sauce” and one simply adorned with a\u00a0mockingly menacing skull and crossbow. Neither of these however have a patch on my little brothers home grown hand made jars of molten lava.<\/span><\/p>\n
