{"id":4026,"date":"2014-09-22T10:41:46","date_gmt":"2014-09-22T00:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/?p=4026"},"modified":"2014-09-22T10:45:15","modified_gmt":"2014-09-22T00:45:15","slug":"from-the-camino-to-mullum-music-poetry-chicken-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/?p=4026","title":{"rendered":"from the camino to Mullum, music poetry &#038; chicken soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today on belly\u00a0 , Jessie from Love &amp; Spoon is here to take us on food and music journeys from the camino of Santiago de Compostela to the Mullum Golf Club, then Geoff will be here to share his mum Rivka&#8217;s chicken soup, our first ever song about rogan josh, lots more poetry &amp; music, food news &amp; great flavours today, it&#8217;s going to be a beautiful sensual spring equinox belly ,\u00a0 so do visit the belly kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Spiced spinach, almond and besan fritters with grilled haloumi and preserved lemon yoghurt recipe by Love and Spoon<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/spinach-besan-fritter.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4029\" src=\"http:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/spinach-besan-fritter-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"spinach besan fritter\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/spinach-besan-fritter-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/spinach-besan-fritter-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/spinach-besan-fritter-400x299.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.belly.net.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/spinach-besan-fritter.jpg 526w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>makes 30 fritters<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\n1 tbl salt<\/p>\n<p>2 tsp cumin ground<\/p>\n<p>2 tsp coriander ground<\/p>\n<p>2 tbl ground fennel<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp chilli powder<\/p>\n<p>170g besan flour<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n<p>80g potato flour<\/p>\n<p>1 clove garlic finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>2 tbl olive oil<\/p>\n<p>280ml water<\/p>\n<p>300g baby spinach roughly chopped<\/p>\n<p>handful of chopped basil leaves<\/p>\n<p>2 grated zucchinis- squeezed to remove liquid<\/p>\n<p>4 sliced spring onions<\/p>\n<p>1 tin chickpeas lightly crushed<\/p>\n<p>100g peas<\/p>\n<p>1 C slivered almonds<\/p>\n<p>non GM vegetable oil for frying<\/p>\n<p>300g haloumi<\/p>\n<p>\u00be C thick greek yoghurt<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 a preserved lemon<\/p>\n<p>to garnish: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0nigella seeds<\/p>\n<p>chilli seeds<\/p>\n<p>fennel fronds<\/p>\n<p>coriander leaves<\/p>\n<p>Method<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mix, salt, cumin, ground coriander, ground fennel, ground chilli, besan flour, baking powder, potato flour and water together<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Whisk in oil and garlic then add chopped spinach, basil, zucchini, onion, peas, slivered almonds and chickpeas.
